Lew Zuchman Featured in City College of New York Annual Report

Written by Geoff Knight, January 17th, 2023
Last year, SCAN-Harbor Executive Director, Lew Zuchman was invited to speak at the Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership at City College of New York. Mr. Zuchman spoke about his history with the civil rights movement as a 1961 Freedom Rider. The discussion delved into the past and educated attendees about civil rights history, but most important, was an inspirational message for the students in attendance.

In the school’s recently released Annual Report, where the talk was featured, the lasting message that was highlighted, came from Mr. Zuchman who urged students to get involved in movements to end racial and economic oppression in their communities.
